One Year In

What an amazing year it has been for us in Boston and as we face the beginning of a second winter here we are so thankful for all The Lord has done. He has provided for us as a family and as church planters, often in ways which were greater than what we had hoped for. There have been difficulties along the way but His provision by His grace has continued to sustain us and we continue to trust Him with the future.

Our prayers for the church have always been for open doors to preach Christ in our community of Quincy. And God is faithful.I was recently invited as the main speaker at a meeting for the Evangelical churches in Quincy. Though a small group, it was encouraging to preach the Gospel and meet other believers in our area who make up less than one percent of evangelicals in our city. Truly the harvest in Quincy is plentiful but the laborers are few!

Quincy Bay Church has continued to hold public services and we have seen a few new faces come from the neighborhood but the real work here to be done is in evangelism. With so few Bible-believing Christians in this area we make an effort to be regularly sharing the gospel with neighbors, friends, and strangers on a weekly basis.

We have also begun to distribute fliers promoting our church and our services to our local community (thanks to some extra funds from Palmdale Community Church!), and we pray the Lord is already at work on the hearts of those who will hear about us that they might come to one of our services and hear the message of Christ.

We’ve had a number of friends and family visit recently and it’s always nice to see a familiar face at our Sunday service! We love it when old friends come to visit as it really does encourage us to get to thank in person those who support this ministry.

As a family, we are doing well. Silas loves the changing seasons and is in a really fun stage of growing up. He’s also very talkative at the moment so if you’d like a chat, just give us a call ;).

These colder months have an absolutely beautiful affect on the trees around here this time of year and if you ever get the chance, visit Boston in the fall! Seriously!

If you’d like to see more pictures of our family, greater Boston, and what we’re up to make sure to follow Anna on Instagram at @iloveus or you can follow the church plant on social media at @QuincyBayChurch

Lastly, we have been informed this past month that our financial support is dropping in December. We trust the Lord and after over seven years on the mission field we know He provides. So we would like to appeal to those of you who follow this ministry to consider reaching out to a friend or colleague who might be interested in also joining in support of what The Lord is doing here in Boston through this church plant. Like an “each one, reach one” kind of a deal.

For more information on support please contact Grace Global Ministries at Grace Chapel Lancaster at (661) 948-0855.

You can also get in touch directly with us here by emailing us at BerthiaumeAlan@gmail.com . We always love hearing from supporters. You truly make it possible for us to continue to do what we do and we thank God for you all!

To God be the glory.

Until next time…

Blessings,

Alan

  1. It is good to read about the move God is making at Quincy Bay Church. Prayers that More people will come to church too and time to be able to invite, share wherever you are and for Jesus’ light to shine through each and everyone of you.

Oh man, the fall colors are beautiful!
