The B Team in Boston

Pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ…

-Colossians 4:3

Right from the beginning of the vision that is church planting in Boston this verse has been at the forefront of my mind. The Bible is clear that only God can open doors and only God can close them (Revelation 3:7). If we were ever going to plant a church in the Boston area, God was going to have to open a door and in my mind this door is 10 feet tall and 2 feet thick. We’re talking the kind of door built for Gulliver and I’m living on the isle of Lilliput. God would have to open that door and then prop that baby open with His immovable wedge. Of course, to God, such doors are nothing. Over the last year God has done “far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think” (Eph 3:20). Go figure. An infinite God with infinite means gets what He wants. And we get to serve Him. Wow. How very humbling and exciting.

So here I sit, writing the first blog to what will serve as a record of God’s work in my life, the life of my family, and the people we are being led to minister to. God is good and to Him be the glory!

Until next time…

Blessings,

Alan Berthiaume

  1. God showed me today that a year ago He opened a Gulliver size door for a Lilliput citizen. I’ve got my own Gulliver size door here except I’m an ant in Lilliput… we shall see what He does in another year! 🙂
God continue to BLESS your efforts.
    In Christ alone,
